Here at Tamar Caravan Centre, we work with a variety of charities and selected community groups. We’re proud to support a variety of charity projects, both in the local area and on a national scale. From incredible endurance challenges and sporting events to tree planting and dressing up for a good cause; we provide sponsorship to a wide range of charities and events.
We recently joined various other local businesses in sponsoring GA Solicitors on their Three Peaks Challenge. Well done to the team for successfully completing it. Over £3,000 has been made for St Luke’s Hospice.
For the past few years, we’ve backed the PASOTI (Plymouth Argyle Supporters on the Internet) website, sponsoring their popular ‘Terraces & Opinions’ forum page.
In 2019, we supported St Luke’s Hospice’s annual Tour de Moor cycling event, bringing along a Swift Basecamp for good measure!
The Tamar Caravan Centre team donned their finest festive attire to take part in Save the Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day event and raised over £100 in the process.
We have sponsored the Mayflower Forest project, designed to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower setting sail and create a ‘green gateway’ into Plymouth. As a result, more than 1,000 birch trees will be planted along Embankment Road to create biodiversity and create a lasting legacy.
We were proud to support a brave group of Plymouth-based ex-marines who climbed Mont Blanc in 2019 (to raise money for the Royal Marines Charity and Rock2Recovery) by sponsoring their food and accommodation whilst on the mountain.
